At Riverdale Dental P.C. and White Plains Dental, we are committed to providing you with a safe and comfortable environment. Your health and safety are our highest priorities, and we have implemented extraordinary measures to ensure safety and infection control when you and your family visit our office. We are following all infection control protocols and guidelines provided by the CDC, the ADA®, OSHA, the NY State Dental Association and the NY State Department of Health.
Our new safety protocols include, but are not limited to:
- Pre-screening prior to all appointments
- Minimizing patients’ in-office interactions for payment and insurance
- Verifications by telephone and email communications and instructions
- Screening upon arriving at the office, including temperature checks and other vital readings
- Monitoring our team members’ health status with daily logs before each workday, including temperature checks
- Mandatory hand sanitizing using our new sanitizing stations upon entry and exit from our office
- Utilizing different treatment rooms for each patient with a “timeout protocol” for filtering air and thorough cleaning with recommended disinfectants
- Thorough cleaning and sanitizing services in our office provided by Coverall Health Based Cleaning System
- Medical waste and sharps removal provided by Stericycle
- Appointment of a COVID-19 enforcement officer to ensure our protocols are executed
- Our waiting area has been rearranged to ensure proper social distancing guidelines
- Front desk barriers have been installed
- Masks are mandatory for all patients entering our office
- No outside personnel may accompany the patient unless medically necessary
- Our team has completed additional mandatory training on infection control
- We have contracted a healthcare-specific laundry service company for our team members’ uniforms
- Additional air filtration units have been installed
- All members of our team are wearing proper PPE
- Additional maintenance of all dental equipment as well as air conditioning units and filter replacement to maintain proper function and cleaner air
- Post-operative screening of patients the day after their dental visit
